Brighter, smoother skin starts here.

Healthy, radiant-looking skin starts with the right treatment for your unique skin concerns. If you’re looking to improve uneven skin tone, soften the appearance of fine lines, or refresh the look and feel of your skin, a professional chemical peel may be an option for you.

At Velo Med Spa in Bonita Springs, we’re excited to offer three specialized treatments from the VI Peel collection: VI Peel Precision & Peptides, VI Peel Advanced, and VI Peel Body. Each formula is designed to address different skin concerns, helping us personalize your treatment to your goals.

Whether you’re focused on discoloration, visible signs of aging, or uneven skin texture on your body, let’s explore what these treatments offer.

What Is a VI Peel?

A VI Peel is a professional chemical peel designed to exfoliate the skin and encourage skin renewal. By helping remove damaged outer skin cells, a peel can improve the appearance of uneven tone, rough texture, discoloration, and other visible skin concerns.

VI Peel offers different formulas for different needs, which is why a professional consultation is important. At Velo we will evaluate your skin, discuss your goals, and determine which treatment is most appropriate for you.

1. VI Peel Precision & Peptides: For Uneven Skin Tone and Discoloration

Concerned about stubborn dark spots, sun damage, or uneven pigmentation? VI Peel Precision & Peptides is designed for individuals looking to improve the appearance of discoloration and achieve a more even-looking complexion.

This advanced formula combines targeted skin-brightening ingredients with peptide technology to support a more comprehensive approach to visible pigmentation concerns.

What concerns may it help address?

  • Uneven skin tone and dark spots

  • The appearance of sun damage

  • Melasma and other forms of hyperpigmentation

  • Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, and acne scars

The goal is a brighter, more balanced-looking complexion with improved visible clarity and radiance. Pigmentation concerns can be complex, so results vary and may require a personalized treatment plan and consistent home care.

2. VI Peel Advanced: For Fine Lines and Visible Signs of Aging

As skin changes over time, you may begin noticing fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, or a loss of firmness. VI Peel Advanced is formulated to target visible signs of aging and support improvements in the appearance of skin texture and elasticity.

What concerns may it help address?

  • The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Visible signs of skin aging

  • Uneven or rough skin texture

  • Reduced skin firmness and elasticity

By promoting exfoliation and skin renewal, VI Peel Advanced can help reveal fresher-looking skin. Your provider can explain what improvements are realistic for your skin and whether additional treatments may complement your results.

3. VI Peel Body: Skin Renewal Beyond the Face

Your skincare routine doesn't have to stop at your face. Skin on the body can also experience sun damage, uneven pigmentation, acne, scarring, and changes in texture.

VI Peel Body is a professional peel specifically formulated for body skin. It can be used on selected treatment areas to improve the appearance of a variety of skin concerns.

What concerns may it help address?

  • Body acne and post-acne marks

  • Uneven pigmentation and visible sun damage

  • The appearance of certain scars

  • Stretch marks and uneven skin texture

  • Rough, bumpy skin

Depending on your goals, your provider may discuss areas such as the back, shoulders, chest, arms, or legs. The appropriate treatment area and number of sessions will depend on your skin and the concern being addressed.

What Should You Expect After a VI Peel?

Chemical peels work by encouraging the skin to shed old surface cells and renew itself. After treatment, you may experience temporary redness, tightness, dryness, sensitivity, or visible peeling.

Peeling does not look the same for everyone. Some clients experience more noticeable flaking, while others have a subtler shedding process. The amount of visible peeling does not necessarily indicate how effective the treatment will be.

During your consultation, we'll explain what to expect with your selected formula and provide instructions to care for your skin throughout recovery.

Your Post-Peel Care Matters

To support your skin while it recovers:

  • Follow the specific post-treatment instructions provided by your practitioner.

  • Avoid picking or pulling peeling skin off.

  • Use only the recommended cleansers, moisturizers, and post-peel products.

  • Protect treated skin from the sun and use the recommended broad-spectrum sunscreen.

  • Avoid exfoliating products and other potentially irritating skincare ingredients until your provider says it is safe to resume them.

Your provider may recommend temporarily pausing certain skincare products or activities. Following these instructions is an important part of your treatment plan.

Vi Peel and Botox together

Combining a VI Peel with Botox offers a comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation by addressing multiple signs of aging simultaneously. While Botox works by relaxing targeted facial muscles to soften expression lines and wrinkles, the VI Peel exfoliates the skin to improve texture, uneven pigmentation, sun damage, and overall skin tone. Together, these treatments target both the underlying muscle activity that contributes to wrinkles and the visible skin concerns that affect complexion and radiance.

A 2024 study published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology evaluated 30 patients who received both treatments on the same day and reported a 60% improvement in wrinkle severity, a 59% improvement in pigment uniformity, and a 70% improvement in skin tone, with no side effects. These findings suggest that combining the treatments may provide more comprehensive skin-rejuvenation results while offering the convenience of a single appointment.

The Velo Method

The VI Peel is an important step in the Velo Method because achieving beautiful, healthy, youthful-looking skin is about more than just one treatment — it’s about how every treatment works together. The VI Peel helps improve skin texture, address discoloration and acne scarring, soften the appearance of fine lines, and support healthy skin renewal, creating a smoother, more radiant complexion. When combined with treatments like the Hydrafacial for cleansing and extracting impurities, IPL to target hyperpigmentation and sun spots, Biofiller to restore volume and enhance facial balance, and Botox to soften expression lines each treatment plays a unique role in your overall transformation. Stacked together, they can create a beautiful youthful result that still looks like you.

Is a VI Peel Right for You?

The best peel depends on your skin concerns, medical history, current skincare routine, and treatment goals. A consultation allows your provider to determine whether a peel is appropriate and which formula may be the best fit.

Be sure to discuss any history of cold sores, skin sensitivity, recent procedures, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or other relevant health considerations before treatment. Your provider will review the precautions specific to the selected formula.

Although VI Peel formulations are designed for a range of skin tones, individual assessment and appropriate treatment planning remain important, particularly for clients prone to pigmentation changes.
